Nippon Bodelac 9000 Undercoat

Description
A high opacity and high solids coating that will effectively hide the substrate and impart a good film build to the overall coating system. Widely used as an undercoat over timber and metal.

Uses
Specially designed undercoat for appropriately primed metals and woods such as:

Wood Ferrous *Non-Ferrous Metal
Door Grille Aluminium
Railing Frames Galvanised metal
Frames Pipes Tin plates
Furniture Beams Gutters
Boxes Poles Copper pipes
Panels, etc etc Stainless steel, etc

*Non-ferrous metals must be primed with Nippon Vinilex 120 Active Primer.

Theorectical - 18.5 sq.m / litre (30 microns DFT)

Dilution
Solvent - Nippon Bodelac 9000 General Purpose Thinner
Brush - 5 ~ 10%
Roller - 5 ~ 10%
Air spray - 10 ~ 20%

Surface Preparation
Metal:
Surface must be clean and dry, free from grease, rust and foreign matter.
New metal - prime with Nippon Bodelac 9000 L/Z Primer.
Repaint - spot prime exposed metal with above primer.
Non-ferrous - prime with Nippon Vinilex 120 Active Primer.
All exposed metal must immediately be primed to prevent corrosion.

Wood:
Sanding to a smooth clean surface
removing dust, dirt and other foreign matter
allowing ample time for wood to dry
removing unstable matter
priming wth Nippon Bodelac 9000 Aluminium Wood primer.

Film Thickness
A Dry Film Thickness of 35 ~ 40 microns per coat is recommended.

Drying Time
Touch dry - 40 minutes at 30 Degrees Celcius.

Overcoating Time
16 hours minimum
